California Association of LAFCOs (CALAFCO)
Interested in what LAFCOs from around the state are doing? CALAFCO provides contact information for California’s 58 LAFCOs and is a great resource for information involving LAFCO related activities.

California Special Districts Association (CSDA)
CSDA provides education and training, insurance programs, legal advice, industry-wide litigation and public relations support, legislative advocacy, capital improvement and equipment funding, collateral design services, and, most importantly, current information that is crucial to a special districts management and operational effectiveness.

Legislative Analyst’s Office Office (LAO)
LAO serves as a non-partisan research resource for the California Legislature.  This includes preparing annual reviews on the Governor’s proposed budgets, analyzing all statewide ballot and initiative measures, and issuing special reports on topics of interests to the Legislature.

Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR)
OPR provides policy support for the Governor’s Office. This includes issuing publications on relating to planning, growth management, and legislative issues in California.

Local Government Commission (LGC)
LGC is a non-profit organization that provides research and policy ideas for various growth issues affecting California, including transportation, economic development, and community design.
