Commissioner Lake has been elected as the Northern Region’s District representative on the California Association of Local Agency Formation Commissions (CALAFCO) Board of Directors. CALAFCO provides state-wide coordination of LAFCo activities, serves as a resource to the Legislature and other bodies, and offers a structure for sharing information among the various LAFCos and other governmental agencies. The CALAFCO Board of Directors is composed of 16 LAFCo Commissioners representing all four regions of the Association. Each region (Southern, Central, Coastal, and Northern) is allocated four CALAFCO Board seats (County, City, Special District, and Public).
